Letter from the President
Whenever I sit down with a CEO in the midst of the IPO process, I prepare
to hear a considerable degree of frustration. The leader I’m speaking to has
enjoyed impressive success building their private company, yet investors aren’t
listening to their story.
No question, there’s an auditory gap between micro-caps and the investor
community.
At Imaginis, we’re working to address that gap. Working with our chairman,
Ian Hogg, we’ve spent almost two years creating building-blocks to help
micro and small cap companies connect to institutional investors and other
stakeholders. Before, during and after their IPO.
We’re looking for emerging public companies that we believe can build an
institutional following. We partner with them to help build relationships with
investment bankers, trading desks, analysts and portfolio managers.
This is my twelfth year leading an award-winning B2B marketing company.
All of us are enjoying the new opportunities that Ian’s decades of investor
experience brings to us.
Our initial forays have been into infrastructure and financial services. In
this edition of our quarterly newsletter, you’ll see our findings on Canadian
infrastructure projects.
Outside of the office, we continue to promote Canada’s rich culture through
our support for the National Ballet of Canada’s Young Professional’s
programme, Turnout. We are also proud to be sponsoring the Sunnybrook
Next Generation Argyle Cup golf tournament on July 10, 2015.
Wishing you and your family a safe and fantastic summer. Cheers to our
Canadian Pam Am and Parapan Am athletes – good luck!
Melanie Dowhaniuk
